My name is Zemyna, meaning "Earth Goddess" in Lithuanian, a name chosen by my father to symbolize the connection to nature.
After 27 years in floristry, I’ve learned that flowers are more than just decoration—they’re storytellers. Every piece I design is crafted to make people pause, feel, and remember. Grounded in the emotions of joy, love, and nostalgia, my arrangements are made to make your moment stand still. It’s not just about the flowers; it’s about the feeling they leave behind.
My journey into floristry began in the vibrant city where I grew up, deeply influenced by my father’s artistic spirit and love for flowers. He not only transformed our garden into a colorful tulip sanctuary, but he also passed down to me his gift for drawing, teaching me how to see the world through an artist’s eyes. This blend of nature and art became the heart of my creativity.
As his collection of tulips grew, a family friend offered us land outside the city, where I spent many summers helping cultivate our ever-growing tulips garden. These early experiences planted the seeds of my passion for floristry.
Over time, I pursued formal training in horticulture and landscape design, earning a degree in Green-belt Technologies and obtained the professional qualification of ENGINEER.
Beyond my qualifications, my love for art—particularly my understanding of colors, balance and forms—helps me blend floristry into a unique approach.
When I design floral pieces, my goal isn’t just to make something beautiful, but to craft something personal and breathtaking. I don’t focus on creating in large numbers. I focus on the moments that make people stop, smile, and feel something special.
I am deeply drawn to the power of color. Each hue tells its own story, setting a mood, evoking emotions, and reflecting the season. My design philosophy centers around natural, earthy arrangements that blend the beauty of flowers with the essence of nature. Whether I’m working on a wedding bouquet, a rustic venue design, or a modern centerpiece, my focus is always on crafting arrangements that speak a unique, personal story.
The name “Floriology” embodies this philosophy—it’s the language of flowers, where every bloom becomes a way to communicate feelings, moments, and memories.
Over the years, I’ve been honored to receive recognition for my dedication to floristry. Participating in competitions like the Irish Florist of the Year and winning the Oasis wedding bouquet competition has been an escape from the day-to-day of commercial floristry. These weekends allowed me to purely create and let my ideas flow, reminding me why I fell in love with this craft in the first place.
